Survey showing most support Fracking rubbished by Governments own poll

A study showing that "57% of people support the production of natural gas from shale in the UK, compared with 16% who oppose and 27% who are undecided", produced by the Oil and Gas industry and widely publicised throughout Television and Local Media has been thrown into doubt by the Government's own statistics published yesterday (11/10/14).

The  Department of Energy and Climate Change today released the results of its latest poll tracking public opinion on energy and climate issues. It shows the public split over fracking, with the same proportion - 24 per cent - saying they support and oppose shale gas extraction.

Of course this latest poll received far less attention and fanfare than the Pro Frack Poll.  Take heart from this, as has been said many times before the one thing that and will stop this is public opinion, and right now people remain deeply unsure, as we become more informed about the issues I would suggest opposition can only grow.
